As part of Sculpture at Sawmillers 2022 there will be a free poetry event compèred by acclaimed Sydney performance poet Tug Dumbly at 3pm on Saturday 26 February. The top six poems will be read and the winner announced. Judging will be by the committee of Sculpture at Sawmillers and Danny Gardner of “Live Poets at Don Bank”.

The subject matter is Stone, Wood, Sculpture or Sydney Harbour. The poems are to be a maximum 26 lines or 250 words. There will be cash prizes totaling $1000.

Entries must be received by email by 1 February 2022 in Word format sent to sawmillerspoetry@gmail.com with name and contact details. The six winners will be contacted by 15 February 2022.

Work must be written by the entrant and not previously published. There will be a special prize for poets under 16 years of age. The organizers reserve the right to arrange publishing of the poems in the local press or publicity material.
